In 2016, Sharon was diagnosed with a serious illness and turned to plant-based medicine to support and transform her health during this time. Dee was by her side and with a PhD in plant medicine and a shared belief that food is medicine, they discovered sulforaphane and the research & science behind it. 

A phonecall to Dee one day sparked it all. Sharon was sitting on the couch googling a quick way to get an immunity boost, she asked Dee why there was no potent, high quality sulforaphane product she could order. The idea for WellCells was born.  
They knew the research was clear, sulforaphane works at a cellular level. But getting it meant sprouting broccoli seeds on your kitchen windowsill and waiting 5 days for them to grown, or trusting a supplement with no clear dose and no proof it was tested. 

We were tired and frustrated, and we kept asking why nobody had done this properly. Eventually we stopped asking and decided to do it ourselves.

Our first product: Brocco. We were proud of it and so were our first customers. But "good" wasn't the standard we'd set for ourselves, so we kept listening, kept testing, and kept pushing.

We launched BrocCore at Wellfest 2026, and it didn't feel like a finish line. It felt like the start of what we set out to do: getting sulforaphane, done properly, into people's hands. This is only the beginning.
